Whats a computer program for DJ’ing?

how do i remove folders with mac osx without deleting the contents?

Hi guys, i wonder if you can help here. i have copied my itunes library to an external hard drive,however each artist seems to have their own sub folder within my itunes library folder, so when i open the my music folder on my external HD, there is a very long list of folders for each artist, my problem is that i need to remove these folders so i am left with just the music files in one big folder (reason being that i use torq, a dj ing program that cannot search the files in each separate folder) i have spent hours trying to find a way to remove multiple folders without deleting the contents!! so any help would be greatly appreciated!
(My OS is mac tiger version 10.4 by the way)

how to connect a laptop to a mixer/receiver for DJ-ing?

All right, so I have a party coming up in about a week. This is my first time DJ-ing at a party and I want to know how to connect it to a mixer/receiver so that I can play music from my laptop (instead of the old school style of having a lot of CDs).

Where and how to start to become a DJ?

Hi there

I wish to become a club DJ, not for the money, but just for the fun, so let’s not get too serious!

I believe I have a great taste for music, and many of my friends agree, also they encourage me to start ‘DJ’ing” at parties etc.

And I love the idea of making and keeping people dancing all night long.

There is one problem though; I have no idea how to act a DJ.

I know I need the equipment for several dollars. However I wonder if there is a cheap software which I can use to just fool around with. Mostly for mixing and switching tracks in a proper way.

Preferably easy to use, since I am after all not a DJ.

mixing device question?

I dont know anything about dj-ing, but love trance musics and hope to produce my own music someday.

so my question is..
Hercules DJ Console RMX Mixer
HERCULES Portable 2-deck DJ mixer
what exactly do these do? i heard they are good for dj-ing…but are they also good first step for producing good musics? i only have keyboard…what’s rmx mixer and dj mixer?

and really question is which one of them are better than the other? i like rmx mixer better,,,just because it seems like it’s god more buttons?
