I am settting for virtual DJ-ing. What is good software setup for beat creating, mixing & scratch virtually?

I am just starting, so I need it rather simple. I have smart mixed Traktor and Ableton live, but it seems like more horsepower than I need right now. I just want to create beats for my hiphop friend, electronic music, and virtual scratch on the fly. What is your setup or what would you suggest?

I have several DJ mixed MP3’s. They’re mixed from one song right into the next with no breaks. Does anyone know of a good software program that will automatically find and make cuts for you? (Say, if the volume goes below a certain range.) I can put the cuts in myself, but it takes for-ev-er. Thanx.
